Building My Website

 This week we got to start working on our websites.  My original plan was to use weebly.com for my site builder.  However, as I began to use their program, I felt more limited and stuck than I thought I would feel.  Because of this experience, I decided to use WordPress through Blue Host.  This way I get both a hosting service and a website builder.  I understand that using WordPress can be a little more difficult and time consuming, but at the same time I really like the idea of having such easy and direct access to my hosting service.  Doing this will enable me to be able to streamline the process of reserving space on the internet and being able to really get my website going.  Overall, the experience of building my first website is going really well and I am very excited to see where it will go.

Week 3 Blog

      This week we learned about the differences between brokers, manufactures, and wholesalers, while also looking into affiliate marketing and drop shipping.  Learning about the process of getting products to the customer was super interesting, however, personally I prefer the idea of running a service instead of a product.  I feel this way mostly because I would like to avoid the hassle that comes with managing and moving inventory.  As I was thinking about this, I was also working on my brainstorming assignment that is due next week where we need to generate business ideas.  While doing this, I had the idea to create a lead generation sight for myself as a solar salesman.  Doing this would be able to help me more fully understand the idea of running a business and traffic online, while also helping me with my actual job.  This new idea has gotten me much more excited with the idea of working for myself both within this class, and aft...

Transitions in Marriage

          Is it Halloween already?!   Holy cow this year is flying by.   It never fails to surprise me how quick time really does pass.   Amidst all the spooks and scares this week, my class kept chugging along with the message of families and their roles in society.   This week we talked about transitions in marriage.   It was a really important message and concept that I think everyone needs to hear and understand, especially with the rates of divorce we have in our society.   Hopefully I am able to help clarify understanding on this topic, if not that, at least spark some interest to learn more about it.   This topic is vital for every single one of us to understand and apply in our individual lives and marriages.   Doing so would most definitely help us all to be better people, enabling us to lift our marriages to higher places than wherever they may currently sit.
