Site Builder and Hosting

This week we learned about online hosts and the differences between different site builders and which ones would be the most beneficial for us as we build our websites.  Each of these topics have proven to shed a little more light on my project as a whole as I know more fully understand what it takes to build a website from the ground.  For a website builder , I decided on using Weebly in comparison to Wix and Wordpress.  I chose Weebly for a couple reasons, but mostly for it's simplicity, price and flexibility.   After deciding upon which site builder I would use, I needed to learn about what a host is and what they have to offer to my website as a whole.   These host sites allow for the storage of anything I upload onto the internet which ultimately allows others to see what it is I am putting up.   After learning about the importance of a hosting site, I decided on using Blue Host since they have short term subscription services which would be per...

Week 3 Blog

This week we learned about the differences between brokers, manufactures, and wholesalers, while also looking into affiliate marketing and drop shipping.  Learning about the process of getting products to the customer was super interesting, however, personally I prefer the idea of running a service instead of a product.  I feel this way mostly because I would like to avoid the hassle that comes with managing and moving inventory.  As I was thinking about this, I was also working on my brainstorming assignment that is due next week where we need to generate business ideas.  While doing this, I had the idea to create a lead generation sight for myself as a solar salesman.  Doing this would be able to help me more fully understand the idea of running a business and traffic online, while also helping me with my actual job.  This new idea has gotten me much more excited with the idea of working for myself both within this class, and aft...

Week 02 Blog
